Singles Tournament Rules

 = Double Elimination =

+ The $10 tournament fee is going directly to the prize pool. The more entrants we have, the bigger the prize. All tournament prizes are cash prizes:

• Cash prize breakdown for <100 entrants- 1st- 60%, 2nd- 30%, 3rd- 10% of pool.    
• Cash prize breakdown for >100 entrants- 1st- 40%, 2nd- 20%, 3rd- 10%, 4th/5th- 7.5%, 6th/7th/8th- 5% of pool.    

+ This is a bring your own controller event. There will be some house controllers for those that don't bring their own (arcade sticks and controllers).

+ Each matchup/bout will be a best of 3 matches (best of 2 rounds per match).

• First person to win 2 matches wins that matchup/bout and proceeds to the next stage.
• After each match, the losing player can change characters before the start of the next match.    
• Coin toss at the beginning of the first matchup/bout decides who gets to pick their character first.    
• Grand Finals will be best of 5 matches.

+ There will be no button binding other than the default button binding of (lp+mp+fk) and (lk+mk+fk). No macros! No turbo! If you are found to be using any of the above (button binding other than default or turbo) you will be automatically disqualified.

+ If at any time during a match, a player hits the start button or Xbox guide button (whether accidental or on purpose) that player will automatically be given a loss of the round.

+ Referees will be present at all stations to enforce the rules.

+ Once a person pays for the tournament and the tournament has started, there will be no refunds. 

+ Zero Tolerance Rule: Any type of inappropriate behavior or misconduct (such as cussing or taunting, acting in a violent manner towards patrons and/or volunteers) will not be tolerated. You will be immediately escorted off the premises.

3v3 Tournament Rules

= Double Elimination =

+ Please bring your own controller! Only a few will be available on-site for use
+ Each team must be composed of 3 members
+ Teams must be registered by 5pm to participate
+ Registration costs $10 per person (or $30 per team)
+ Cash Prizes will be awarded as follows:
        60% of the pot is awarded to the 1st place team
        30% of the pot is awarded to the 2nd place team
        10% of the pot is awarded to the 3rd place team 
+ Each team can only have 1 of each character. No duplicates!
+ Players must stick with their selected character throughout the entirety of the tournament
+ Player order is set up blind via the ref prior to each set
+ Sets are done Pokemon style: Winning player moves on to face next team's player until all 3 players of one team are defeated
+ 99 second rounds, best of 3 rounds, no handicap, no macros, no turbo, default bindings only
+ When teams are defeated for the 1st time, they are sent to a losers' bracket, after the 2nd loss they are eliminated
