Summoner's Calling: The League!

That's right it is time once again for another tournament hosted by the UGTL at the happiest place on earth Dreamlab Gaming in Arcadia! Well maybe not the happiest but diffenetly one of the coolest places to watch League of Legends being played especially with their new Spectators area shown above. That's right 5 screens to watch so you DO NOT miss any of the action going on.

The League

This time around this will not just be another tournament. This time we are playing for keeps, with a season being played and a Champion being crowned! So I know you guys are asking how this well be different from just a normal tournament, so here is the breakdown of how The League will work.

The Rules

The rules for the season will be as follows. The League will consist of a series of 6 tournaments to be played from July until December. That means one tournament per month. Each team will have to pay the regular $65 per team per tournament. The pot for that individual tournament will given to the top 3 teams, with 70% of the pot going to 1st, 20% going to 2nd, and 10% going to 3rd. For each individual tournament I will adding an extra $100 to the prize pot. Besides the money, teams will accumulate points for placing in the top 4. First place will get 10pts, second will get 7 points, third will get 5 points, and fourth place will get 3 points. Each team will also be given 1 point for particpating in a single tournament. At the end of the season all teams points will be added together and the team with most points will be crowned the Champion and will win the Grand Prize of $500. Now in order to qualify for the Grand Prize of $500, teams will have to have participated in a minimum of 4 tournaments during The League.
